Brief Bio
Hello, I am Dr. Sarat Kumar Sahoo, working as Professor/Head, Department of Electrical Engineering, Parala Maharaj Engineering College, An affiliated college of Biju Patnaik Technological University, Govt. of Odisha, Berhampur, Odisha, India.
I was born in Dhenkanal, Odisha, India in 1973. I received M.Tech in Computer Application to Industrial Drives from VTU, Belgaum, Karnataka, and Ph.D. in Power Electronics and Drives from JNTU, Hyderabad, India. I have teaching and Industrial experience of 20 years.
I have published/ presented 120 technical research papers in national and international conferences, journals, and magazines. I am the author of three textbooks. I am a member of various national & international technical bodies like IEEE, IET, ISTE, International Science Congress Association, Kolkata, and International Innovative Scientific & Research Organization.
My research interests include design, analysis, and control of electromechanical energy converters, modern power electronics converters; grid integration of renewable energy systems, Hybrid Electric vehicles, and FPGA-based system design.
I like traveling and exploring different cultures. Reading spiritual books, magazines, Music, Meditation, and Pranayama, as well as walking around Kharidali, a small village in Orissa, where I was born.
